From 2016 to 2018, the College of Sport and Exercise Science and AVI worked together to deliver a pilot program, offering an exciting international opportunity for students to undertake their second or third year placement with the Bali Sports Foundation (BSF) in Bali, Indonesia.

Students were able put academic theory and learning into practice while working alongside local staff to support a wide variety of programs, and were able to learn about the provision of high-quality sports opportunities for people with disabilities.

Victoria University students can contact [email protected] for details of future projects and other placement opportunities.

Bali Sports Foundation was originally set up in 2009 to improve the lives of disadvantaged youth through the power of sport. Due to demand for opportunities, the main focus of BSF is now on developing a range of sports programs that will allow all people with a disability the access to participate in sports.
