Compliance Coordinator

Seeking an experienced Compliance Coordinator to assist AVI with accreditation and coordination of organisational policies and procedures.

Reporting to the CFO and an integral member of the Corporate Services Team, this role ensures that AVI meets applicable laws and regulations, including in the 26 countries it currently works in, ensures contractual compliance, maintains accreditation with ACFID, gains accreditation with DFAT, maintains and adheres to strong and up to date policies and procedures, including safeguarding, and responds effectively to complaints 

This is a full time (part time 0.8 will also be considered) maximum term role until 30 June 2022 based in Fitzroy, Melbourne with Work from Home arrangements in place in light of COVID-19.  

To be successful in this role you will have the demonstrated experience and knowledge in: 

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in compliance or relevant field 
  • Managing quality/compliance systems (Experience in service sector preferred)  
  • Developing organisational policies and procedures 
  • Complaints handling and investigations 
  • Maintaining positive stakeholders relationships, working with both internal and external stakeholders 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Project management experience 
  • Ability to work cross culturally in dealing with international compliance authorities
